Job Responsibilities:
- Inspect and verify the quality of repairs for main machinery, auxiliary systems, and hull structures to ensure compliance with technical standards.
- Confirm proper installation, alignment, and functionality of spare parts and mechanical components.
- Prepare, maintain, and update inspection reports, QA/QC checklists, and related documentation.
- Identify, document, and report non-conformities, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure adherence to ISO, IMS, and company QA/QC procedures and standards.
- Review job cards, work orders, maintenance records, and technical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with workshop supervisors, engineers, technicians, and external contractors to ensure quality execution of tasks.
- Monitor repair and maintenance progress, ensuring quality compliance prior to job completion and vessel release.
- Attend and witness testing, commissioning, and sea trials as required.
- Verify that all tools, equipment, and materials used meet required quality and safety standards.
- Support internal and external audits by ensuring proper documentation and audit readiness.
- Analyze recurring technical issues and recommend corrective measures and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure full compliance with HSE policies and promote safe working practices during all maintenance activities.
- Maintain proper documentation and traceability for all inspected and completed work.
- Ensure workshop activities are completed within agreed timelines without compromising quality standards.
- Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of SOPs, work instructions, and quality procedures.
- Arrange and optimize trips based on client-submitted, signed marine ticket forms
- Develop comprehensive sailing schedules and assign appropriate vessels for efficient cargo/manpower transport
- Communicate detailed trip information to clients, including vessel specifications, precise timing, sailing schedules, specific instructions, and up-to-date weather forecasts
- Distribute detailed sailing schedules to vessel operators and jetty teams, including truck plate numbers and specific cargo information
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining professional and responsive communication
- Keep clients consistently informed of updated estimated arrival and departure times
- Provide instant notifications of vessel breakdowns, including action plans for cargo rerouting or alternative transport
- Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date daily records and a live, interactive dashboard of vessel movements, cargo transfers, delays, vessel utilization status, and all related operational information
- Compile, analyze, and share daily data updates with clients to support their analysis and reporting needs
- Maintain a secure and organized system of recording evidence for all marine tickets, ensuring easy retrieval and audit compliance
- Prepare and submit detailed timesheets for client’s usage of marine services, ensuring accuracy.
