Specialist - Control Tower
Job Purpose:
The Specialist of the Supply Chain Control Tower will provide essential support in the design and daily operations of the control tower, focusing on maintaining visibility, tracking performance, and ensuring that all supply chain functions (warehousing, transportation, sourcing, purchasing, and imports) are executed efficiently. The Specialist will work closely with Senior Specialists and the Control Tower Manager to monitor operations, address issues, and contribute to process improvements that ensure optimal supply chain performance and customer satisfaction. Strong experience in Data Analytics needed.
Job Responsibilities:
Daily Operations Support: Assist in managing the day-to-day activities of the Supply Chain Control Tower, ensuring all functions (warehousing, transport, sourcing, purchasing) are operating efficiently and without delays.
- Data Monitoring & Reporting: Track real-time performance across the supply chain, generating reports on key metrics. Identify performance trends and potential issues, and work with the team to address them.
- Supply Chain Data Management & Analytics:
- Use advanced data analytics techniques to collect, analyze, and interpret large volumes of supply chain data to support operational efficiency, performance tracking, and decision-making.
- Dashboard & Reporting Creation:
- Design and maintain interactive dashboards using tools like Power BI to visualize supply chain KPIs, trends, and performance metrics for real-time insights. Prepare reports for various stakeholders to drive action and process improvements.
- Data Lake Management:
- Collaborate with IT and data teams to manage the structure, integrity, and accessibility of the supply chain data lake, ensuring data is organized and available for analytics and reporting needs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with IT, Operations, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth data integration across systems, identify gaps, and continuously improve the accuracy and flow of data through the supply chain.
- Supply Chain Performance Monitoring:
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory, logistics, and operations. Proactively identify trends and potential bottlenecks to recommend and implement corrective actions.
- Process Improvement & Optimization:
- Identify opportunities to optimize supply chain processes based on data insights, aiming to reduce costs, enhance operational efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction.
- Data Quality & Governance:
- Ensure data quality by developing and implementing data validation processes. Collaborate with teams to establish best practices for data governance, ensuring compliance with security and privacy standards.
- Project Support & Delivery:
- Support supply chain optimization projects by providing data insights, tracking project performance, and helping with the delivery of technical solutions related to data management and reporting.
- Training & Development:
- Share knowledge and best practices on data analytics and reporting with team members, supporting their professional development and increasing overall team capability.
- Issue Resolution: Assist in resolving operational challenges and escalating issues when necessary. Work with the team to mitigate risks and ensure smooth supply chain execution.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Warehousing, Transport, Sourcing, Purchasing, Sales) to ensure alignment of operational goals and to solve problems as they arise.
- Process Improvement: Assist in identifying opportunities for process optimization within the control tower. Suggest and help implement improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve performance.
- Customer Support: Support the control tower in ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, with a focus on meeting delivery schedules and quality standards.
Qualification and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 3 years of experience in supply chain management control Tower, logistics, or operations
- Familiarity with supply chain technology systems (e.g., ERP, TMS, WMS) is a plus
- Certifications:
- APICS CPIM, CSCP, or other relevant certifications a plus (but not required)
