Job Purpose
The Senior Manager Fire and Rescue Prevent plays a pivotal role in proactively preventing fires and minimizing risks to life within the community. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive programs, communication strategies, promotional campaigns, and training initiatives that foster behavioural change and enhance fire safety awareness
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible and accountable to the Assistant Commissioner of Prevent and Awareness, for the effective and efficient delivery of all Prevent Services functions.
- Prepare an overarching Prevent strategy for Red Sea Fire and Rescue.
- Program Development: Develop, implement, and manage fire & community safety programs that cater to the unique needs and vulnerabilities of the community.
- Communication Strategy: Create and execute effective communication plans to promote fire safety awareness and behavioural change within the community.
- Promotion Campaigns: Design and lead campaigns to educate, inform, and engage the community in fire safety practices.
- Training Initiatives: Organize and provide training sessions to community members, organizations, and relevant stakeholders on fire prevention and safety measures.
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyse data to measure the effectiveness of fire safety initiatives and adjust strategies as needed.
- Partnership Building: Collaborate with internal departments, contractors, hotel operators, and other stakeholders to build partnerships that enhance fire safety efforts.
- Emergency Preparedness: Ensure the community and hotel operators are well-prepared for emergencies by coordinating drills, evacuations, and combined exercises.
- Budget Management: Manage the budget allocated for fire safety initiatives, ensuring resources are used effectively and efficiently.
- Deputize in the absence of the Director of Prevent and Awareness when requested.
