Job description

 

Project Manager will oversee the entire lifecycle of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Key responsibilities include negotiating contracts, managing subcontractors, scheduling, cost control, safety compliance, and maintaining client relationships. 

 

 

Job responsibilities

 

 

  • Manage the full project lifecycle of infrastructure projects from initiation to ensure completion of the job within specified timeframes, in an organized and cost-effective manner, in accordance with the approved design and quality standards.
  • Assist with the development of scope and schedule for project work, he/she will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with our company strategy, commitments and goals, managing external consultants /contractors on the delivery of major project works on site.
  • Coordinate with engineering, planning, and construction teams to ensure seamless execution of project plans
  • Establish project timelines, budgets, and resource allocations, ensuring efficient use of resources throughout the project.
  • Monitor progress on project deliverables, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.

 

 

Policies, Systems, Processes, Procedures, Standards and Reports

  • Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely functional MIS statements and reports to meet corporate and functional requirements, policies, and standards.

 

 

Safety, Quality & Environment

  • Apply safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.

 

Continuous Improvement  

  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of department’s systems, processes and practices considering ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.

 

 

Job Stakeholders (Relationship)

  • Internal             Construction, Project Management, Cost teams
  • External            Consultant, Contractors

 

 

Qualifications

 

 

  • Must have a Degree in Engineering or Construction Management/PMP or related field with a minimum of 12-15 years of experience in project management, with a focus on infrastructure projects
  • Experience in a leadership position overseeing large infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
  • Experience working for a leading contracting company in the GCC is a plus
  • Good understanding of QAQC principles throughout Project life cycle.
  • Good understanding and documenting workflows and business processes.
