Job Purpose:
The Operational GM will lead Corallium through the transition from opening to steady-state operations, optimization, and growth, ensuring safe, high-quality, and commercially sustainable performance while activating science, research, and partnership initiatives that drive new revenue streams and global positioning.
Job Context:
- The role is based at AMAALA as a site-based leadership position, overseeing both front-of-house visitor experience and back-of-house operations across the iconic Corallium asset.
- Corallium is transitioning from pre-opening into its next phase of development. The role requires leading operations in a live, evolving environment while stabilising performance, optimising delivery, and unlocking future growth opportunities through science, partnerships, and commercial development.
- Corallium is operated as part of Red Sea Sports & Entertainment (RSSE), a subsidiary of Red Sea Global.
Operating Model & Delivery Structure:
- Corallium operates under Red Sea Sports & Entertainment (RSSE) as part of Red Sea Global’s portfolio, using a hybrid delivery model that combines in-house leadership with services provided by RSG subsidiaries and selected partners.
- Key operational functions including Marine Life operations, Facilities Management, Security, and Food & Beverage are delivered through specialist entities.
- The Operational GM retains full accountability for overall performance, integration, and delivery of the visitor experience, ensuring all service providers operate in alignment with Corallium’s standards, RSSE governance, and RSG strategic objectives.
Functional Responsibilities:
Operational Stabilisation
- Lead transition into stable operations across all functions
- Align marine life welfare, LSS, and operations
- Close pre-opening gaps and ensure safety discipline
Performance Optimisation
- Drive continuous improvement and KPI ownership
- Optimise staffing, cost, and efficiency
- Embed performance management
Visitor Experience Excellence
- Deliver high-quality seamless experience
- Implement feedback and improvement loops
Marine Life & Integration
- Ensure welfare and system alignment
- Develop long-term science and conservation capability
Commercial Performance
- Drive revenue across all streams
- Implement pricing and new revenue opportunities
Science & Growth Activation
- Establish research platform and partnerships
- Translate science into credibility and funding
Partnerships & Positioning
- Build strategic partnerships and sponsorships
- Position Corallium globally
Financial & Governance
- Ensure cost control and adapt business plans

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred)
- 12–15+ years of senior leadership experience in complex, multi-functional environments
- Proven success in operational transformation, large-scale asset management, or destination leadership
- Experience in hospitality, attractions, entertainment, marine, or large integrated/complex operations
- Strong background in operations, commercial performance, stakeholder management, and governance
- A visionary mindset with the ability to execute at scale
