Job Purpose
To provide a combination of unique interior aesthetics with the efficient and functional use of space and assist in the appointment of interior design consultants and contractors to ensure smooth running of all projects within their area of speciality. Complete design stages in a timely manner within set budgets, managing the quality of design while maximising value and providing guests with a differentiated experience.
Job Responsibilities - Leadership
- Lead interior design for Construction Programs consisting of multiple projects within a similar geographic area, and where assigned, serve as Technical Director of hospitality projects, leading and coordinating external consultants and internal package managers.
- Coordinate the activities of the Interior Design team to ensure that all work is carried out efficiently, in line with the strategic project management plans, policies and procedures.
- Manage the team by setting priorities and objectives, managing performance, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching to meet the functional challenges and goals.
- Serve as a role model to ensure employees’ awareness and commitment to RSG's vision, mission, values, fundamentals and corporate strategy to establish a highly engaged and motivated human resources, and continuously improve performance.
Design Delivery
- Directly oversee management and coordination of interior design packages using a multi-prime or design/build approach.
- Direct the preparation of the business objective plan including the design review and general coordination with all interior design stakeholders to ensure alignment with RSG vision and alignment between all relevant efforts.
- Provide input toward the development of interior design briefs/ programs/ technical specifications and related plans as needed to ensure meeting RSG's and operator’s needs as per international standards.
Design Quality Assurance
- Oversee all interior design consultants’ technical submittals to ensure compliance with architectural contract deliverables and quality standards, further contributing to user satisfaction and maximized value.
- Liaise with interior design consultants to monitor interior design development and ensure that the interior design brief is complied with and the quality / budgets are managed as per plan.
- Monitor the execution of the project details onsite as needed to control quality and maximize time efficiency.
- Chair regular coordination meetings as an owner representative between consultants, RSG's and contractors to ensure efficient communication between all parties and facilitate the smooth functioning and timely completion of the set objectives.
- Promote interfaces and relations with consultants and contractors within the context of company policies, standard operating procedures and objectives.
Job Responsibilities - Functional
- Assist in the implementation of the annual business plan and targets and execute the strategic agenda of the Interior Design function to deliver RSG's vision and mission.
- Ensure that the strategy is translated into operational business plans for the Interior Design function and monitor the performance and execution of those plans in order to achieve functional objectives and deliver the company’s strategy.
Procurement
- Contribute in the identification and categorization of all products and services required for the execution of all interior design projects and identify a list of potential suppliers/ vendors/ consultants for each.
- Develop supplier/ vendor/ consultant selection criteria in order to support the evaluation and selection of most appropriate provider.
- Perform factory visits as needed to ensure optimal furniture and relevant products selection for RSG projects.
Job Responsibilities - Organizational
- Contribute to the preparation of development programs and the functional budget for the Interior Design function and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.

Interior Design Consultants, Contractors and Subcontractors, Service providers, vendors.
Job Requirements - Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or any related field
- Minimum of 20 years of relevant experience with 8 years in a managerial position
- CBID/CSD/RIBA or equivalent certification
