About the Role

 

Botanica is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Associate Director – Commercial to lead revenue growth, business development, sales, marketing, and strategic partnerships across our diverse horticulture and landscaping business.

This role will play a critical part in scaling the business, strengthening market presence, and driving sustainable profitability across landscaping, nursery operations, plant maintenance, soil products, indoor plants, and floral services.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Business Development & Growth

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across landscaping, plant maintenance, nursery operations, indoor plants, soil products, and floral services.
  • Build and manage relationships with corporate clients, developers, hotels, malls, government entities, event planners, florists, and retail partners.
  • Lead proposal development, commercial negotiations, and contract execution.
  • Establish strategic partnerships and distribution channels to support business growth.

 

Sales & Revenue Management

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Oversee pricing strategies, quotations, and commercial terms.
  • Monitor sales performance, pipeline management, and forecasting.
  • Manage key accounts and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Drive customer satisfaction and repeat business.

 

Marketing & Brand Development

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Strengthen brand positioning and market presence.
  • Lead digital marketing initiatives, social media campaigns, and promotional activities.
  • Support product launches and seasonal campaigns.

 

Commercial Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement the overall commercial strategy.
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and industry trend assessments.
  • Identify new products, services, and market opportunities.
  • Support budgeting, revenue planning, and profitability analysis.
  • Establish and monitor commercial KPIs and performance metrics.

 

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing commercial team.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Procurement, Finance, HR, and Production teams.
  • Drive process improvements and commercial best practices.
  • Represent Botanica at client meetings, exhibitions, and industry events.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field.
  • MBA or Master's degree preferred.
  • 10–15 years of experience in commercial, sales, business development, or related leadership roles.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior management position.
  • Experience within landscaping, horticulture, agriculture, nursery operations, or a related industry is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and managing strategic client relationships.
  • Strong experience in contract management, tendering, and commercial negotiations.
  • Experience working with large-scale projects, B2B clients, and government entities.
