Job Purpose:
The Assistant Manager - Business Systems and Solutions at Red Sea Coastal Trading Company is responsible for enabling, scaling, and optimizing the organization’s Digital B2B Marketplace platform to support end-to-end supply chain and logistics operations. The role focuses on marketplace adoption, system integration, analytics enablement, and data-driven decision making through Power BI and Data Lake solutions.
This position acts as a critical bridge between business, technology, and external platform vendors to ensure the digital marketplace delivers seamless ordering, pricing, fulfillment visibility, analytics, and operational efficiency aligned with supply chain transformation objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
Strategic Contribution:
- Support the digital supply chain strategy through the enablement and continuous enhancement of the e-Commerce B2B Digital Marketplace platform;
- Contribute to the roadmap for e-commerce marketplace capabilities, analytics maturity, and data-driven supply chain operations;
- Drive marketplace adoption across internal users, suppliers, and logistics stakeholders.
Operational
Digital B2B Marketplace Enablement
- Support the implementation, configuration, and ongoing optimization of the Digital B2B Marketplace platform.
- Oversee the functionality and daily operations of the B2B e-commerce platform
- Enable key marketplace capabilities including catalog management, pricing, ordering, fulfillment visibility, returns, and supplier onboarding.
- Coordinate marketplace integrations with SAP (MM/SD/FICO), BirchStreet, and WMS systems, and other supply chain platforms.
- Collaborate with the internal and external teams to enhance marketplace user experience, usability, and customer engagement features.
- Support user onboarding, training, and change management activities to drive adoption and effective usage.
- Support and optimize product listings, including items details, high-quality imagery, and pricing, often managing complex catalogs and bulk ordering features.
Analytics, Power BI & Data Lake
- Design and deliver Power BI dashboards and reports for marketplace performance, supply chain KPIs, vendor performance, order fulfillment, and customer experience.
- Support Data Lake design and implementation to consolidate marketplace, SAP, logistics, and operational data.
- Enable self-service analytics and advanced reporting for supply chain and logistics stakeholders.
- Collaborate with data and IT teams to ensure data accuracy, governance, and performance.
- Develop analytics and dashboards to measure e-commerce performance, user experience metrics, customer engagement, and digital adoption.
System Enablement & Support
- Act as a functional and technical point of contact for marketplace-related incidents, enhancements, and performance issues.
- Maintaining proactive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders;
- Support UAT, regression testing, releases, and system upgrades.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and system enhancements.
Policies, Systems, Processes, Procedures, Standards and Reports
- Adhere to organizational policies, standards, and system governance frameworks.
- Develop and maintain documentation including business requirements, functional designs, process flows, and user guides.
- Ensure that all transactions are strictly documented and updated in the IT systems;
- Prepare periodic (daily, weekly, monthly and adhoc) reports
- Prepare accurate and timely MIS reports and analytics to support management decision-making.
- Execute endorsed plans and programs to achieve organizational and departmental goals and objectives;
- Develop continuous improvement plans, programs and activities to boost the efficiency and effectiveness of the commercial, transacting, and data operations;
- Establish performance measures and priorities for each operation;
- Monitor and maintain KPI’s and key metrics;
Safety, Quality & Environment
- Ensure compliance with data security, cybersecurity, and information governance standards.
- Promote quality, reliability, and data integrity across marketplace and analytics platforms.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance marketplace functionality, automation, analytics, and user experience.
- Benchmark digital marketplace and analytics capabilities against industry best practices.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize cost, efficiency, and service levels across supply chain operations.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with sales, purchasing, IT, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations and a consistent customer journey.

Qualification and Experience:
- Recognized degree in Information Systems and Supply Chain Management, Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years in a supply chain and logistics operations field (preferred) and/or Digital Marketplace Implementation and Operation
- Proven experience enabling or supporting Digital B2B e-commerce Marketplace platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI and Data Lake design and implementation.
- Experience integrating digital platforms with ERP (SAP), WMS, and logistics systems is highly desirable.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of Digital B2B Marketplace platforms and operating models.
- Advanced Power BI skills (data modeling, DAX, dashboards, executive reporting).
- Solid experience with Data Lake concepts, data pipelines, and analytics enablement.
- Strong systems integration knowledge (ERP, WMS, TMS, finance).
- Ability to translate business needs into functional and analytical solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
- Experience supporting e-commerce strategy execution, user experience improvement, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Experience working in complex, cross-functional, and fast-paced environments.
