Job Description
To coordinate and control the daily activities of drivers and equipment operators, ensuring the safe, efficient and compliant delivery, collection and operation of plant and equipment across company projects and customer locations.
The role is responsible for transport coordination, operator administration, competency verification, and ensuring all operational documentation is correctly completed and processed.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor the daily activities of drivers and plant operators.
- Allocate personnel and equipment according to operational requirements.
- Ensure drivers and operators comply with company procedures, site rules and safety requirements.
- Maintain effective communication with field personnel and project teams.
- Address operational issues and escalate concerns where required.
- Schedule and follow up on deliveries and collections of plant and equipment.
- Monitor transport movements to ensure timely delivery and collection.
- Coordinate with workshops, projects and customers regarding equipment availability and status.
- Ensure transport activities are conducted safely and efficiently.
- Collect, review and process driver and operator timesheets accurately and on time.
- Ensure delivery notes, collection notes and supporting documentation are properly signed and submitted.
- Maintain accurate operational records and filing systems.
- Assist in preparing operational reports and tracking equipment movements.
- Verify licences, certifications and competencies of drivers and operators before assignment.
- Maintain records of operator qualifications and expiry dates.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, transport regulations and health & safety standards.
- Support audits and compliance inspections where required.
- Promote safe working practices at all times.
- Ensure drivers and operators follow safe transport and equipment handling procedures.
- Report incidents, near misses and non-compliance issues promptly.

Qualification and Experience
- Professional certification in Supply Chain or Logistics.
- Knowledge of Saudi Arabian transport regulations, and fleet compliance requirements.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
- Experience managing daily logistics operations within construction, heavy equipment, industrial, or manufacturing environments.
- Understanding of transport and lifting operations.
- Knowledge of HSE requirements related to plant and transport operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational tracking systems.
- Previous experience in plant hire, construction logistics, transport coordination or fleet operations.
- Experience coordinating drivers and plant operators.
- Familiarity with timesheet processing and transport documentation.
- Knowledge of operator competency and licence requirements.
