Associate Director - Quality Control

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Verify Technical Accuracy: Ensure constructed works meet the set technical and dimensional standards.
  • Monitor Drawings & Specifications Adherence: Confirm that construction aligns with approved drawings and contract specifications.
  • Supervise Material Inspection: Oversee material inspections, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Endorse Quality Control Plans: Review and approve the Quality Control plan, ensuring its rigor and completeness.
  • Coordinate with Trade Contractors: Establish clear quality expectations and oversee their implementation.
  • Collaborate on Design Improvements: Work closely with the technical team to recommend and oversee design enhancements.
  • Liaise with External Quality Agencies: Engage with certification agencies and ensure adherence to external quality standards.
  • Manage Supplier Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers for consistent quality.

 

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Certifications: Quality control or quality assurance certifications would be an advantage.
  • Experience: A total of 18 years in construction, 10 years in construction quality control with at least 3 years in a leadership role, and not less than 3 years in the GCC region. Preferred someone with Supervision consultant background or top tier contractor having worked on major projects in the ME.
  • Skills: Proficiency in using quality control tools and software, understanding of construction standards and regulations, excellent communication and leadership abilities.
