Job Purpose:

  • To supervise and coordinate day-to-day landscape maintenance operations, ensuring landscaped areas are maintained to high quality, safety, and presentation standards.
  • The role is responsible for workforce deployment, softscape maintenance, irrigation coordination, plant health monitoring, site inspections, work planning, and timely completion of maintenance activities.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all daily landscape maintenance activities within assigned areas.
  • Plan daily work schedules and allocate manpower based on operational priorities and site requirements.
  • Supervise gardeners, landscape technicians, and maintenance teams to ensure productivity and quality standards are achieved.
  • Oversee the maintenance of trees, palms, shrubs, groundcovers, lawns, and seasonal plants.
  • Supervise horticultural activities including pruning, trimming, mowing, planting, fertilization, weeding, mulching, and plant replacement.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and ensure landscape areas meet the required quality and presentation standards.
  • Monitor plant health and identify irrigation issues, pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies, and other horticultural concerns.
  • Monitor irrigation performance and coordinate with the irrigation team regarding leaks, blockages, damaged components, and watering schedules.
  • Ensure effective utilization of manpower, tools, machinery, equipment, and landscape materials.
  • Monitor stock and material requirements and coordinate timely availability of fertilizers, chemicals, plants, soil, and other maintenance materials.
  • Ensure landscape machinery and equipment are properly used, maintained, and reported for repair when required.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE procedures, PPE requirements, toolbox talks, and safe working practices.
  • Monitor the safe handling and application of fertilizers, pesticides, chemicals, and other landscape materials.
  • Follow up on work orders, site observations, client comments, and corrective actions until closure.
  • Prepare daily and weekly reports covering manpower, completed works, pending activities, materials, equipment, and operational issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and operational trackers for landscape maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate with Landscape Management, Irrigation, Nursery, HSE, Facilities, Logistics, and other support functions.
  • Identify operational challenges, manpower shortages, quality concerns, or delays and escalate them to the Line Manager.
  • Support employee performance monitoring and provide on-the-job guidance and coaching to the landscape team.
  • Ensure all assigned landscape maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.
  • Perform any other duties related to landscape maintenance operations as assigned by the Line Manager

Job Requirements:

 

Qualification and Experience:        

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Agriculture, Horticulture, Landscape Management, Plant Production, or a related field, with a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in landscape maintenance or horticultural operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team-leading role.
  • Strong practical knowledge of softscape maintenance, plant care, irrigation systems, pest and disease identification, manpower supervision, quality control, and HSE requirements is essential.
  • Experience in large-scale landscaping, hospitality, resorts, facilities management, or major development projects is preferred, along with good communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
