Senior Manager - Hydrogen Production and Networks
Job Purpose:
Responsible for providing expert guidance and strategic insights on Green Hydrogen Production and Network Solutions that could be leveraged across TRSUC. The Senior Manager will be responsible to provide specific technical expertise related to the hydrogen production & utilization, to the projects, operations & new business initiatives.
This role will serve as center of expertise internally for the technical services function & shall utilize extensive knowledge of new energy technologies, market trends, and policy frameworks to develop and implement new energy and digitalization solutions pertaining to Green Hydrogen production and networks to drive sustainable growth for TRSUC.
The role will also provide consultancy services to other organizations or ministries which need support around Green Hydrogen.
Job Responsibilities:
Strategic Contribution

Develop functional strategies & roadmaps to come up with tailored solutions around Hydrogen production and networks thereby aligning with the overall strategic intent of the organization and regulatory requirements.

Prepare business development strategy for the function and originate opportunities to accelerate project pipeline and manage counterparty relationships for Hydrogen production and networks .

Plan and develop strategies for building hydrogen production facilities, storage options and distribution systems
Hydrogen Production and Networks

Build and grow the demand for hydrogen production and networks by proving applications of Hydrogen and developing competitive advantage by helping customers use the product

Liase with vendors to evaluate, design, and implement plans for hydrogen production facilities and manage the development of hydrogen networks, including hydrogen supply chains

Engage in techno-economic evaluation of new technologies, catalysts or adsorbents related to low carbon hydrogen production and associated fields; and provide recommendations to the business for suitable deployments.

Proactively gather market intelligence, analyze collated data and ensure that the organization strategy reflects evolving market dynamics on hydrogen production and networks

Conduct research, technology scouting and prototyping for leading H2 technologies and review feasibility outcomes from feasibility studies of pipeline projects and prepare assessment report for further evaluations.

Assist in the evaluation & technology selection of green H2 production & utilization options for low carbon fuel production and CO2 emission reduction initiatives,

Stay abreast of technologies advancement in hydrogen production, materials and equipment's and evaluate sustainable and innovate solutions to enhance the performance and competitiveness of hydrogen systems

Provide consultancy services to other organizations and ministries which require support around green hydrogen production and networks, in the kingdom, MENA or globally

Maintain relevant functional logs and documentation as mandated by the various statutory and regulatory laws and provide regular statistical reports / MIS on various hydrogen production and network solutions developed to the senior management team.
Risk Management

Identify different aspects of risk associated and develop mitigation measures to negate or minimize the effect of these risks

Conduct risk assessments, process safety management, and regulation compliance on hydrogen productions and networks

Ensure decisions are made in accordance with ERM policy and guidelines
Safety, Quality & Environment

Apply safety, quality and environmental management policy, procedures, and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude

Liase with vendors to monitor and control hydrogen production networks to ensure operational efficiency.

Oversee maintenance and safety operations of hydrogen production plants and infrastructure
Relationship Management

Collaborate with government agencies, industry associations, research institutions, and other key stakeholders to foster strategic partnerships and drive collaborative initiatives

Promote the awareness on hydrogen initiatives and represent TRSUC in forums, research institutions related to hydrogen production and infrastructure.
Continuous Improvement

Contribute to the identification of opportunities within energy modelling space for continuous improvement of the TRSUC function’s systems, processes and practices considering international best practice, business process improvement, cost reduction and productivity improvement

Contribute to the development of thought leadership content, whitepapers, and industry reports to showcase expertise and establish the organization as a leader in the field
Qualification & Experience:

Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in engineering, renewable energy, environmental science, or a related field

Minimum 8-12 years of experience in renewable energy consulting, energy modelling or a related area in utility services, preferably in the off-grid sector

Good understanding of renewable energy policies, regulations, and market dynamics at the local, regional and international levels

Proficiency in energy modeling software and tools
