WAMA is responsible for delivering watersports in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and is dedicated to the provision of World Class Sporting activities along the Kingdom’s magical stretch of Red Sea Coastline. Based in the Red Sea Project, just 40 minutes north of Umluj, daily sea breezes, warm water and breathtaking underwater life make the area a water sports enthusiasts’ paradise.
WAMA’s goal is to provide a center of excellence for people to experience water sports for the first time, learn new skills and get comfortable in this aquatic environment, all the way through to forging a career in water sports, whether it be as an athlete, teacher, or technician. The WAMA Watersports centres will offer courses to guests and formal training and accreditation across all its sports.
About The Role
The role will involve leading the instructors and other WAMA team members in all activities. This includes windsurfing, kitesurfing and sailing, SUP, kayak and foiling (Wing and E-Foil).
We are looking for an experienced and well qualified candidate with a strong and diverse water sports background who will oversee on-water operations and report directly to the Water Sports Centre Manager.
Ensure H&S procedures and SOP’s are adhered to and followed by all team members.
Provide excellent customer service and report on the services provided and feedback from guests.

Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely reports to meet corporate and functional requirements, policies, and standards.

Apply safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
Continuous Improvement
Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of department’s systems, processes and practices considering ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
Job Requirements
Qualification and Experience
5+ Years instructing a variety of watersports, Middle East experience preferred.
RYA Senior Dinghy Instructor or equivalent.
Paddle sports or SUP Instructor
Minimum RYA Powerboat level 2
Team leadership experience
Passion for watersports and the environment.
Experience in developing and leading youth and adult water sports programs
Ability to write and implement operational procedures and guidelines.
Skills
A positive and proactive individual with a high aptitude for customer care and good leadership skills.
Fluent in English. A second language, ideally Arabic, is a plus.
Ability to manage complex issues effectively and creatively.
Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated and the ability to manage a team.
Ability to interact with individuals at all levels in the department and the community.
Understanding of diverse communities and cultures.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Willingness to work irregular hours including weekends and holidays as needed.
