Senior Specialist - Operational Readiness
Job Purpose
The Senior Operational Readiness Specialist is responsible for assisting the Director of Operational Readiness and Senior Project Controls Manager in creating and maintaining a world-class visitor experience. This role involves setting up a brand-new multimodal operation that requires creativity, flexibility, and determination. They will also be responsible for producing weekly, bi weekly and monthly reports, keeping various trackers up to date. This role requires working closely with various RSG stakeholders such as land mobility, marine ops, marina & waterways , air mobility, environment & sustainability, security, safety & project delivery.
In the Operational Readiness phase, the Senior Operational Readiness Specialist will be required to track project management deliverables/activities and prepare weekly reports & presentations by updating the trackers. They will follow up on the progress of deliverables with the internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery. They will also attend the weekly progress meetings with the senior management and prepare the minutes of the meeting (MoM) in clear & concise English. Their scope will include The Red Sea Project and others such as AMAALA.
During the operations phase, the scope of this role will extend to PMO. They will track KPIs and SLAs provide performance reports to the senior management. They will also manage open issue trackers and follow up with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely closeout.
Job Responsibilities

Working closely with Senior Project Controls Manager and Director of Operational Readiness, track and update operational readiness programs

Stakeholder management of various operations functions.

Participate in weekly project progress meetings, update % progress of activities, understand and report cause of delays, and track and close out open issues in timely manner.

Tracking and reporting of project management deliverables

Tracking & reporting internal and external KPIs and SLAs and providing regular updates to the management.

Prepare weekly & bi weekly reports for the management.

Prepare presentations on behalf of the management team.

Management and tracking of the risk register
Job Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree qualified ideally in a science-based subject

5 years of Project Controls & PMO Experience in operations / transportation

Experience in using P6, MS Project or similar planning tools.

Highly organized & well-articulated in English

Experience of working in an Operations & Maintenance environment would be advantageous.

Must have excellent grasp of Spoken and Written English

Communicates well and consistently at the managerial level down to large teams of the workforce

Collaborates well with other business functions

Ability to prepare high quality presentations in MS Power Point

Ability to produce complex trackers in MS Excel ( Intermediate / Experienced Level)
