Senior Specialist - Logistics Systems
Job Purpose :
The SAP Technical Specialist role focuses on design, configure, and optimize SAP SD processes that enable seamless order-to-cash operations and integrated supply chain workflows for trading and wholesale businesses. The consultant will ensure accurate pricing, efficient order management, and robust system integrations while driving automation and process improvements. This position serves as a key link between business requirements and technical solutions, providing expert support, troubleshooting, and enhancements to deliver a best-in-class, touchless supply chain experience aligned with organizational goals.
Job Responsibilities:
SAP SD Configuration and Optimization
- Support solution design and do the configuration of end-to-end SAP SD processes of goods and services including Make-to-Stock, Make-to-Order, Third-Party Sales, Intercompany and Intra-company transactions in trading and wholesale organization perspective.
- Set up pricing procedures, promotions, rebates, and billing plans for diverse business models
- Implement and support standard and custom sales order types, delivery processing, and invoicing including customer return and full or partial rejections at delivery.
- Support designing the interfaces for customer master data, pricing agreements, customer credit management, and payment processing (Including customer advance)
- Collaborate and support solution design, process automation and integration of B2B Marketplace, WMS and other systems with SAP S/4 HANA to drive the touchless best in class supply chain end-to-end business processes to optimize business operation.
- Collaborate and support solution design, configuration of batch jobs, forward and backward scheduling based on material availability to automate the delivery creation within a specific horizon as per customer requested delivery.
- Support solution design and configuration in collaboration with other functions for customer credit control, sales orders approval workflow, output form design etc. but not limited too.
Project Management and Implementation
- Support the end-to-end technical implementation of SAP SD projects, including configuration, customization, testing, and go-live phases
- Support the solution design and implementation of system enhancements and upgrades to improve functionality and align with evolving business requirements
Technical Support and Troubleshooting
- Provide advanced technical support for SAP SD issues, performing troubleshooting, and collaborating with cross-functional IT teams to address challenges
- Conduct root-cause analysis to identify issues, implement corrective actions, and ensure system performance and stability within the SAP SD module
Business Process Improvement
- Collaborate with various supply chain business functions such as sales, order management, purchasing, and logistics teams to streamline business processes
- Identify and implement best practices within the SAP SD module to enhance supply chain efficiency and support continuous improvement
Stakeholder and Vendor Management
- Engage with internal stakeholders to understand SAP SD requirements, address concerns, and propose solutions that align with business objectives
- Coordinate with SAP vendors and third-party consultants for module implementations, upgrades, and ongoing technical support
Training and Documentation
- Develop comprehensive training materials and deliver end-user training on SAP SD functionalities to ensure effective knowledge transfer and system use
- Create and maintain functional & technical documentation, including configuration guides, troubleshooting manuals, and process flow diagrams for business processes
User Support and Compliance
- Provide expert user support, addressing SD system issues, conducting training, and promoting effective utilization of applications
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and industry regulations, maintaining data security and integrity within SAP SD processes
Strategic Systems Planning
- Support and contribute to roadmap planning for future SAP enhancement and automation of order to cash and dependent processes in alignment with organizations business objectives!
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business, software engineering, management sciences, supply chain management or business, master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in SAP SD, with proven technical expertise in SAP configurations, implementations, and customizations, preferably within the supply chain or logistics sector.
- SAP SD Certification is highly preferred
- Proven record of working in projects management methodology and supporting the SAP SD-related initiatives
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA and integration with other SAP modules (e.g., Marketplace, MM, WMS, FICO) is highly desirable
Skills:
- Proficient in End-to-End SAP SD Configuration: Make-to-Stock, Make-to-Order, Third-Party Sales, Intercompany & Intra-company transactions from Trading and wholesale organization perspective.
- Proficient in Pricing & Billing Management: Pricing procedures, promotions, rebates, billing plans, and customer credit management
- Expert in Order Management: Standard/custom sales orders, delivery processing, invoicing, returns, and rejection handling etc.
- Advance skills in Interface Design (Seamless data flow): Customer master data, pricing agreements, payment processing (including customer advances payments)
- Expert in Systems Integration: B2B Marketplace, WMS, and other systems with SAP S/4HANA for touchless supply chain processes
