Senior Manager - Guest Mobility Planning and Operations
Job Purpose:
- Coastal Transportation Services Company is looking for experienced fleet planner and operations person to be responsible for the overall Amaala Guest and Visitors Transportation Planning and Operations. This position will be part of a bigger process ensuring transportation (Bus, vans and micro-mobility) services runs smoothly.
- This position will work under the Land Mobility Planning and Operations Delivery Associate Director and shall support him in overall fleet planning and operations activities however the focus of this role is to plan and delivery transportation services for Amaala guest and visitors ensuring the efficient and effective management of the Amaala's fleet as well as, maintain high standards of service, and contribute to the RSG's overall success.
- This role will manage all aspects of the fleet planning and operations including, but not limited to the guest and visitors’ transportation, scheduling of services with fleet optimization, staffing and drivers’ management, client relation and coordination.
- The ideal candidate must be primarily an excellent communicator and able to remain calm and composed, especially in emergency situations. You must be able to multi-task as well as take the appropriate action with little supervision.
Job Responsibilities:
The key Job responsibilities for this position are but not limited to:
- Planning and Coordination: Planning and coordinating all aspects of guest and visitors transportation for the Amaala. Develop and implement transportation plans to efficiently move guest and visitors to and from various locations, considering and including “job” assignments, design and implement shuttle services, route planning, vehicle allocation, driver assignments, and scheduling.
- Resource Management: Manage the fleet of vehicles (Bus, cars, vans, buggies and bikes), drivers, and equipment required for the project, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently to meet the demand.
- Communication and Collaboration: Must maintain communication and collaborate with various internal (Mobility) and external stakeholders, including DMC, Hotel Operators and Red Sea departments, to ensure alignment of goals and smooth execution of guest and visitors transportation services.
- Risk Management: Must identify potential risks and challenges related to guest and visitors transportation and develop contingency plans to address them effectively.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Must monitor, via the Transport Operations Command and Control (TOCC), the performance of transportation operations in real-time, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness. Their responsibilities often involve quick decisions that may impact overall fleet planning and operations, implementation of contingency plans and future planning all in coordination with other Mobility activities to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Problem Solving: Available in the TOCC they address any issues or challenges that arise during operations, such as unexpected issues, ad-hoc “jobs”, route deviations, vehicle breakdowns, or unexpected delays.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate transportation performance, analyze data, and identify opportunities for improvement. Make decisions about process optimization, technology upgrades, and organizational changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness over time.
- Fleet Management System (FMS): This position must be familiar with FMS as will be its primary work tool.
- Others:
- Develops and executes comprehensive guest and visitors transportation service plans, policies, procedures, SLAs and contingency plans.
- Work closely with O&M Leads ensuring availability of fleet at 98%.
- Report to manager on any service delivery issues and propose solutions to address.
- Always adhere to all relevant regulations and work instructions of RSG and relevant subsidiaries, as well as comply with those tasks provided by the Line Manager or Supervisor or Team Leader.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience
- 5 year’s senior management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Fluent in English (oral and written), Arabic proficiency is a nice to have.
- Proven planning and operational experience in fleet operating company, and/or fleet Operator or similar role in a large-scale project. Prior experience dealing with fleet services and management. Experience in major events is a nice to have.
- Tech-savvy with knowledge of fleet management system.
- Experience coordinating with various transport operational teams and subject matter experts to effectively keep the services in operation or get it into operation in the event of a breakdown/incident/accident.
- Project management of a complex integrated workstream.
- Experience coordinating with the Contractors and the relevant Third Parties.
- Knowledge of depot and fleet procedures and guideline for emergency situations.
- Valid driver’s license is preferable.

- Knowledge to identify the right experts during an incident to bring back the system to normal operations.
- Ability to work during evenings, on weekends, and on public holidays, as required.
- Comply with all work instruction provided by the Team Leader, Supervisor or Line Manager, including other tasks such as after-care vehicle yard work, etc.
Job Context:
- This is a Planning and Operations role that will support Mobility Operations to manage guest and visitors Transportation Services. Flexibility and adaptability are essential in this role, as you may need to respond to unforeseen challenges or changes in transportation needs.
- The role needs a hands-on approach and must be involved in the practical aspects of the guest and visitors transportation services. As a Senior Manager in this role, even though the role might have administrative and managerial duties, staying connected to the ground operations is a must.
- Use of alcohol, illegal drugs, or prescription medication that inhibits cognitive or mechanical ability — either on duty or before a scheduled shift — is prohibited.
