Senior Coordinator - International Freight and Clearing

Job Purpose:

Coordinate and support end-to-end international freight, customs clearing, and documentation processes to ensure timely import/export operations in alignment with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

 

Job Responsibilities: 

Coordinate international shipping activities including booking, tracking, and delivery timelines.
Manage import and export documentation ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government authorities.
Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays or compliance issues.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, invoices, declarations, and customs documents.
Support cost optimization initiatives within international freight operations.
Prepare periodic reports on shipment performance and clearing cycle times.
Ensure adherence to international trade compliance, safety, and quality standards.

 

Policies, Systems, Processes, Procedures, Standards and Reports

  • Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely functional MIS statements and reports to meet corporate and functional requirements, policies, and standards.

  • Apply safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.

 

Continuous Improvement  

  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of department’s systems, processes and practices considering ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.

 

Job Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 0–1 year experience in international freight, customs clearing, or logistics operations.

 

Skills:

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of import/export regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
