Job Purpose
To develop, oversee, support and manage the SC&L Inventory Department, leading various initiatives which include maintaining accurate records of inventory and stock management systems, formulating budgets, providing financial analysis and projections to be used in decision-making and planning, and ensuring the regulation of in-stock level complies with inventory parameters and ensuring data is correctly captured.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage replenishment/reordering to ensure fulfilment service levels are maximized, while minimizing inventory on hand and risk
- Oversee and audit physical counts and ensure all inventory is accounted for and reported according to company policy.
- Maintain adequate inventory levels to meet customer demand.
- Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of all inventory.
- Assess inventory output on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis to identify trends in productivity.
- Monitor warehouse and 3PL cycle counts of product inventories on a regular basis.
- Lead in developing practices and systems to enhance inventory accuracy.
- Monitor date-sensitive products for expiration and facilitate removal or transfer of product as needed
- Perform process and system testing and track performance to locate and solve problems in data integrity, productivity, and efficiency
- Ensure implemented SOP’s are adhered to and no deviation takes place.
- Execute inventory control measures to ensure the company minimizes stock shrinkage.
- Perform inventory controls and material management procedures to ensure accountability.
- Inventory controls systems to be captured related to damaged goods returns.
- Perform, develop and implement improved flow processes to improve efficiency.
Qualification and Experience
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, commerce, or related degree.
- Professional accounting or finance qualification ie CPA, SOCPA, CA, CFA, ACCA etc.
- Knowledge of accounting/financial/operational principles.
- No less than 5+ years total experience, including 2-3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics or other operational organizations.
- Experience in dynamic high-volume transactional environment
- Experience with SAP S/4 Hana and SAP Cloud Analytics (SAC) preferred.
