JOB PURPOSE

The jobholder’s responsibility is to plan and provide safe and reliable transportation services to all guests and employees/stakeholders (on Buses, Fleet vehicles and Buggies – depending on role) to ensure safe journeys with minimal delays. The jobholder will Support and coordinate the overall transportation for Mobility division i.e. mainly focused on Guest & employee to ensure business continuity. Act as a coordinator and a primary point of contact for all concerned stakeholders internally and externally in managing Mobility expectations of all the relevant stakeholders impacted. The Manager Driver Scheduling will be an integral part of helping to build Land Mobility operations with a focus on driving efficiency and consistency in guest experience in line with the standards

The role requires constant management of maintenance of the fleet (in collaboration with the Maintenance team) as recommended by manufacturers, thereby ensuring effective & efficient functioning of the department and a positive guest experience due to up keep of fleet.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Control and monitor daily Operations within the function and take timely corrective action pertaining to scheduled, sudden or unexpected trip creation, changes or cancellation due to unforeseen events.
  • Manage service providers to ensure delivery performance standards are fulfilled and operational practices are in line with contractual agreements and SLAs.
  • Plan and schedule vehicle routes (working with dispatchers), amend and update transport timings as necessary, in order to accommodate changes in daily Operations to ensure there are no gaps in transport services provided.
  • Manage and supervise a team of Senior Specialists , Specialists, drivers and coordinators.
  • Ensure that accidents/incidents are promptly and properly investigated and reported to the concerned authorities and impacted stakeholders and take the necessary action.
  • Manage and approve the manpower and fleet availability and usage for regular and unplanned trips to ensure cost efficiency and business continuity.
  • Engage and provide response to feedback, complaints, queries and/or concerns raised from internal and external stakeholders in order to provide efficient and safe transport service.
  • Perform audit of the Land Mobility drivers and fleet utilization on a monthly basis in order to mitigate any current or anticipated risk and non-compliance and escalate to Senior Manager for necessary action.
  • Inform the Senior Manager on all aspects of daily Operations through regular briefing meetings and/or monitoring reports so that the necessary changes can be implemented.
  • Communicates and coordinates transportation standards and expectations with the Mobility team and employees and stakeholders internally and externally for effective and efficient execution of the trips.
  • Coordinate closely with suppliers to address any SLA non-performance, non-compliance pertaining to transport issues that require necessary or corrective action to be taken by the concerned supplier to avoid recurrence.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS 

 

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 6 years industry experience and proven expertise in the automotive or transportation industry
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a quick moving and change oriented environment
  • Must be able to multi-tasking in a fast pace, high volume, environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office programs with a minimum of intermediate skills in Word, Excel and Outlook (skill level will be tested)
  • Able to work in a highly collaborative environment with independence
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate based on needs of VIP chauffeur driver.
  • Strong customer service orientation. High energy and passion for interaction with people
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and time-management skills
  • Demonstrated experience/maturity to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Possess a positive, service-oriented attitude with excellent follow through on issues

The Manager - Driver Scheduling will be full time based at Amaala Site.
