Firefighter
Job Title: Firefighter Marine Emergency Response
Job Purpose
The role of the Marine Emergency Response Firefighter is to report to the Captain 1 and respond to Aircraft fires in Water Aerdromes and other Marine Environments and non-fire emergencies where there are risks to life and property.
Job Responsibilities
- Report to the Captain and assist as required in operational and administrative efficiency of the fire and rescue service on station
- Preventing, combating, and extinguishing fires with the goal of protecting lives, the environment and property
- Operating tools and equipment used for firefighting safely and effectively
- Providing appropriate medical care within their scope of knowledge in emergency situations
- Analyzing hazardous situations and thinking of quick solutions and actions
- Teaching and participating in training classes and drills
- Performing general maintenance on firefighting equipment
- Maintaining a clean environment in the department facilities
- Possess a thorough knowledge of the operation of fire and rescue apparatus and equipment
- Keep inventory of tools, and equipment on appliances
- Report mechanical failures or difficulties and missing or damaged equipment
- Responsibility for updating and maintaining all records pertaining to their duties
- Attend training courses when required
- Responsibility for the implementation of Red Sea Fire and Rescue and Red Sea Global policy and procedures
- Be flexible regarding working in varied locations as directed by RSFR management
- Carrying out such other duties as may be assigned from time to time

- Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely reports to meet corporate and functional requirements, policies, and standards.

- Apply safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of department’s systems, processes and practices
Job Requirements
- Minimum age 21
- Essential Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience (some of which should be in a municipal setting) as a Firefighter (Saudi Nationals)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience (some of which should be in a municipal setting) as a Firefighter (ex-pats)
- Firefighter 1 and 2 (NFPA 1001, 1006)
- NFPA 1003 Standard for Airport Firefighter Professional Qualifications or RSFRS Approved Equivalent
- Proficient Swimmer: 50 metres swim within 90 seconds
