Job Purpose

To direct the planning and manage the effective coordination of conceptualizing, designing, developing and constructing the external land areas / open spaces such as public realm, external environment, parks, recreational areas for all sites in Red Sea Global's (RSG's) projects; ensure adherence to customer requirements, industrial codes, environment standards, and combine aesthetics with functionality to produce state of the art, ecofriendly creations, thereby support successful project completion within defined quality, cost and time parameters.

Job Responsibilities - Leadership

Strategic Contribution • Assist in the implementation of the annual business plan and targets and execute the strategic agenda of the Landscape Architecture function to deliver RSG's vision and mission • Ensure that the strategy is translated into operational business plans for the Landscape Architecture function and monitor the performance and execution of those plans in order to achieve functional objectives and deliver the company’s strategy. Leadership • Coordinate the activities of the Landscape Architecture team to ensure that all work is carried out efficiently, in line with the strategic project management plans, policies and procedures. • Manage the team by setting priorities and objectives, managing performance, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching to meet the functional challenges and goals. • Serve as a role model to ensure employees’ awareness and commitment to RSG's vision, mission, values, fundamentals and corporate strategy to establish a highly engaged and motivated human resources, and continuously improve performance. Budget • Contribute to the preparation of the functional budget for the Landscape Architecture function and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.

Job Responsibilities - Functional

Landscape Architecture Operations • Lead the collaboration with project leadership to gain an understanding of key requirements, specifications; develop and agree on the project scope and site plan for assigned projects for presentation to management. • Lead the timely conduction of preliminary studies of the site (including contours, soil, ecology, buildings, drainage systems etc.) to assess and advice on the best landscape solutions as per project requirements while achieving cost efficiencies and client satisfaction. • Direct the preparation of detailed drawings together with the consultants as directed by project management, in order to facilitate the cost assessment process and ensure adherence to defined standards and procedures. • Support the cost estimation for the accurate development of scope of work and create/update the records to facilitate availability of information. • Oversee and participate in the preparation of tender documentation and provide the relevant parties with technical details for accurate evaluation of bids and to facilitate the contracting process of suitable service providers to fulfil project requirements. • Direct and liaise with suppliers, sub-contractors and other third parties / consultants to ensure effective communication of design requirements and to facilitate successful completion of projects as per client requirements, in accordance with industrial, quality and environmental standards. • Oversee the arrangement of existing and proposed land features and structures; lead the development of graphic representations of proposed plans using CGI’s and other rendering media to ensure the creative capturing of client vision and objectives. • Carry out periodic site visits and ensure accurate space planning and layout, in accordance with the execution drawings and client specifications. Inspect landscape work to ensure that it adheres to original plans. • Provide technical expertise and leadership for the design, development and execution of the assigned projects and ensure that the projects meet predefined business/client requirements and are delivered on time, set budget, and agreed quality.

• Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

• Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely functional MIS statements and reports to meet corporate and functional requirements, policies and standards.

• Apply safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.

Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of the department's systems, processes and practices considering ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.

Senior stakeholders, Architecture, Development, MEP and any RSG function as needed.

Service providers, vendors, consultants, subcontractors and contractors.

Job Requirements - Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture or any related field. • Minimum of 25 years of relevant experience with 15 years in a managerial position.
