Director - AMAALA Land Mobility Operations
JOB PURPOSE
The Director of Mobility AMAALA is responsible to assist the Executive Director in creating and maintaining a world-class visitor experience. This role involves set-up of a brand new Operation and will require creativity, flexibility and determination focusing on the AMAALA project.
In the Preopening phase, the Director of Mobility AMAALA will be required to oversee the set-up of the Guest experience fleet and manage the operators accordingly. During the Operational Phase; the smooth running, continuous improvement and profitability of operations will rest with this role. Future planning and identifying new opportunities will become part of the role. Regular expense control, staff management, supplier management, budget & forecasting, guest interaction and department supervision will form day-to-day responsibilities. This position requires the individual to be extremely organized, have a keen eye for attention to detail and the flexibility to work with different aspects of a business. The role fully focuses on being strategic and adaptable in order to meet business requirements
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Pre Opening
- Participation and creation of a multi-modal mobility system including Land, Sea & Air operations for guest primary and secondary fleet including (cars, boats, seaplanes/helicopters, e-buggies and micro mobility) maintenance and servicing and the management of the operators for the AMAALA project.
- Participation in other areas including but not limited to Way Finding, Buggy modifications, COVID materials, driver/operator standards
- Support HR in the recruitment process of hiring the team
- Draw up and roll out of the operational training of Managers and work alongside operators for operating model manuals and other relevant materials
- Creation of operational SOPs, KPIs & SLAs along with their SBS (step by step) process for the efficient set up and operation
- Ensuring operational Health and Safety of the operation for visitors and staff in conjunction with the onsite H&S team
- Collaborating with all aspects of visitor facing and back of house depts/stakeholders to ensure operational readiness
- Confirming operational readiness to Director of Mobility and Snr Management team
- Participates in the development and leads the execution of the strategic plan for guest mobility at the Red Sea, and the detailed operating plan in coordination and in alignment with Director of Mobility. This includes formalizing and leading the strategic planning process, focusing on long term trends and outlook, and competitive intelligence.
- Participates in the definition of products, including price positioning attractive to the relevant market segments.
- Developing footprint/concept of operations at the AMAALA project for the guest.
- Design and administration of Mobility policies
- Manage risk through thoughtful administration and appropriate partner concern of issues.
Additional duties for your role (RSD):

- System Integrations wherever possible with existing RSD / SEZ systems (for example financial for cost control / or hospitality for direct billing to guest rooms for transport charges IE tours etc)
Operational
- Manage a multi-modal mobility operation alongside operating partners and other external/internal stakeholders for the AMAALA.
- Working with Director of Mobility to ensure that appropriate metrics are in place to measure performance and progress towards strategic goals - Daily, weekly and monthly report management. Reviewing and rationalizing availability consistently
- Engages external business and industry experts and resources to learn and influence business strategies, develop new opportunities, understand competitive landscape, global marketplace, and external business environment.
- Oversees the development and implementation of a Mobility Service knowledge management infrastructure and leads in the management of organizational knowledge as a strategic asset to further the organization’s goals.
- Leads the deployment and advocates for the adoption of digital service that drive value and improve customer experience
- Develop specific value propositions, content and presentation materials to support the Mobility & Specialty Automation Services Strategy
- Overseeing duties and roster alongside the operators
- Identifying and targeting areas of business that can improve operation
- Monitoring revenue margins and costs
- Overseeing operator productivity
- Researching new areas and initiatives in the market
- Developing and implementing guidelines for operator & employee evaluations, recruitment and promotion
- To ensure a smooth and efficient running of the daily operation and supporting departments
- Analyze visitor feedback and place corrective measures in place to ensure customer satisfaction
- Actively seek out feedback on the facilities and services from visitors
- To assist in supervising the team’s operation and communication
- To assist in maintaining and/or develop agreed operating procedures involved in the department and to ensure that colleagues adhere to the correct procedures as laid down in the operating manuals.
- Maintains a 1-5 year plan for the function, including a roadmap for increased efficiency and effectiveness and taking into account modifications required to support a changing business environment.
- Plans and manages annual budget;
- To set a high example in regard to punctuality, appearance, performance, attitude, leadership, guest relations, observance of the house rules, loyalty to the Management and interdepartmental co-operation

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Degree qualified in related industry
- 10 years in mobility / transportation
- 5 years in a Management role
- Proven track record in building an operational strategy and roadmap for execution
- Experience working alongside operating partners to implement and achieve KPIs, SLAs
- Experience in multimodal transportation management (car, air, sea, other modes of transport)
- Experience in the hospitality, tourism market or related sectors would be advantageous
- Middle East experience would be advantageous
- Any experience in working in / with ultra-luxury environments/ sectors
- Experience working in either the client side or supplier/ operator
- Proven track record in setting up and leading mobility operations managing operators to achieve high quality standards and excellent guest experiences
JOB CONTEXT
This is a key management position in our Mobility Company. Strategically, this position is responsible to refine and implement the AMAALA project mobility strategy, and to provide expert advice on mobility operations to the organization.
Operationally the role is expected to externally interface with other industry organizations / associations, govt bodies such as operating companies and vehicle providers.
