Associate Director - Development

Job Purpose

Manage unique and exciting aspects of the Red Sea Development project throughout the development lifecycle from feasibility into construction. Ensure the project vision is carried out with premium quality standards throughout.

Job Responsibilities - Functional

 

  • Oversee all aspects of development including managing the design process, coordinating regarding permitting, budget preparation and management, negotiation of agreements, and coordination with all parties 

  • Develop feasibility studies and set the targeted project budgets and returns 

  • Manage and coordinate design consultants in collaboration with the design department 

  • Conduct market research as and when necessary to maintain timely intelligence regarding development plans and revenue projections 

Job Responsibilities - Organizational

  • Keep abreast of regulatory changes affecting development requirements to take advantage of or compensate for the changes which may impact the project 

  • Manage the development team knowledge base regarding Hospitality, Retail, Attraction, and other asset types. 

  • Execute the development and implementation of the approved development plan, schedule, and project budget(s) in collaboration with project delivery and executive teams to meet milestones, quality, budget and completion targets 

Job Requirements - Qualification & Experience

Degree in Finance, Real Estate Development, Civil Engineering, or Urban Planning 

Masters or MBA preferred 

Minimum 10 years of relevant development experience  

Minimum 8 years of experience in an organization of similar size and scope 

Job Context

  • Coordinate with projects stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle of the project 

  • Recommend solutions to assure effective development management process is taking place which meets project targets for scope, quality, schedule and cost 

  • Monitor industry trends to ensure companies project pipeline is aligned with market demands 

  • Work with external stakeholders to define the vision for the asset development
