JOB PURPOSE 

Our Mobility Co. is looking for experienced Cluster planning & Operations Manager to be responsible for coordinating all aspects of Land Mobility in and around Amaala Triple Bay sites, from planning to on-the-ground execution. This position will support the Senior Manager Venue Operations & Special Events in overall AMAALA Triple Bay site planning and operations activities related to Land Mobility at each Amaala site – including within the Marina Bus & Buggy Interchenge. ensuring the efficient and effective management of the AMAALA's sites as well as, maintain high standards of Mobility Operations, and contribute to the RSG's overall success.

This role will manage all aspects of the Site planning and operations including, but not limited to organise, and oversee transportation at venue and for events, including coordinating guest vehicle access, traffic, parking, pedestrian movement, Bike (If appropriate) and buggy systems as well as client relation and coordination. The ideal candidate must be primarily an excellent communicator and able to remain calm and composed, especially in emergency situations. You must be able to multi-task as well as take the appropriate action with little supervision.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The key Job responsibilities for this position are but not limited to:

  • Planning and Coordination: Planning and coordinating all aspects of Land Mobility for the AMAALA Triple Bay sites. Develop and implement transportation plans to efficiently managing parking facilities, operates workforce shuttles, guest access.  In coordination with the Mobility team and Hotel Operators, develop comprehensive transportation plans for each event or venue, taking into account factors such as demographics, venue location, type of transportation and expected traffic patterns.
  • Resource Management: Manage the Mobility site teams, drivers (when in the venue/site), and equipment required for the project, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently to meet the demand.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Must maintain communication and collaborate with various internal (Mobility) and external stakeholders, including Hotel Operators and Red Sea (and affiliated companies) departments, to ensure alignment of goals, communicate of transport plans and smooth execution of transportation services in and around the AMAALA sites/venues.
  • Risk Management: Must identify potential risks and challenges related to site transport and develop contingency plans to address them effectively.
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimisation: Must monitor, via the Transport Operations Command and Control (TOCC), the performance of transportation at all sites and venues in real-time, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to optimise efficiency and effectiveness. The responsibilities often involve quick decisions that may impact overall site planning and operations, implementation of contingency plans and future planning all in coordination with other Mobility activities to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Problem Solving: Available in the TOCC the Manager should address any issues or challenges that arise during operations, such as unexpected issues, ad-hoc “events”, vehicle breakdowns, or unexpected delays.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate transportation performance, analyse data such as traffic volume, parking and workforce shuttle utilisation, and Hotel operator’s feedback. Identify opportunities for improvement and make decisions about process optimisation and organisational changes to enhance efficiency.
  • Others:
    • Develop and execute comprehensive site transportation plans, policies, procedures, SLAs and contingency plans
    • Work closely with other Mobility stakeholders and Hotel Operators
    • Report to the Senior Manager on any issues and propose solutions to address
    • Monitor transportation operations on-site daily and during events, ensuring that vehicles are dispatched in a timely manner, traffic flows smoothly, and parking facilities are efficiently managed.
    • Provide assistance to guest, visitors and workforce with transportation-related inquiries or issues, such as directing them to shuttle pick-up points, assisting with accessibility needs, or providing information on parking or mobility options

The role needs a hands-on approach and must be involved in the practical aspects of the site land mobility operations. As a Manager in this role, even though the role might have administrative and managerial duties, staying connected to the ground operations is a must.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 10 years of overall experience
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Fluent in English (oral and written), Arabic proficiency 
  • Proven planning and operational experience in Site transport operations (Venue Manager) or similar role in a large-scale project. Prior experience in venue transport planning and operations 
  • Experience coordinating with various transport operational teams and subject matter experts to effectively keep the services in operation or get it into operation in the event of a breakdown/incident/accident
  • Project management of a complex integrated workstream
  • Experience coordinating with the Contractors and the relevant Third Parties
  • Knowledge of Site and/or venue procedures and guideline for emergency situations
  • Valid driver’s license is essential

  • Must be capable of evaluating vehicle contractors’ (infrastructure & vehicles) performance (KPI) and adjust/optimise performance as required to benefit the overall project program.

  • Flexible and adaptable. Able to work outside the direct parameters of the Job Description as required.

  • Knowledge to identify the right experts during an incident to bring back the system to normal operations.
