Job Purpose:
- To maintain the established security process in line with the National Civil Aviation Security Programme as published, updated and directed by the General Authority of Civil Aviation, applying highest Security Standards and best practices for company operations and cross requirements with other Security and Operational division within the Group.
- Reporting to the Director - Aviation Operations (the Accountable Manager)
Recruitment and Criteria
- High School Graduate
- Experience in Security management – to be confirmed as per General Authority of Civil Aviation if any specific requirement
- Experience in the national Military or Police - to be confirmed as per General Authority of Civil Aviation if any specific requirement.
- Ability to assess threats to Security, Operational risks and Safety hazards.
- Good communication skills in English and Arabic (written and verbal)
- Attentive to details and Pro-active
- In good all-round health
- Clear Personal File with Security Clearance
- Valid National Passport and national ID - to be confirmed as per the General Authority of Civil Aviation if any specific requirement
Performance Objectives:
Manager Aviation Security – Core Duty
- Develop, approve, and maintain the company’s Air Operator Security c in accordance with the General Authority of Civil Aviation’s National Aviation Security Programme, other relevant or applicable Governmental/StateAgencies and Company Standards.
- Update and revise the Security Standard Operating Procedures, aiming for constant risk mitigation and continuous improvement in conjunction with Operational Management in line with CAGAR Part 135 and Water Aerodromes, Helipads and Aerodromes, respectively CACAR Parts 137, 138 and 139.
- Perform security audits, monitor compliance, and perform risk/threat assessments of security systems.
- Present audit findings to Director Q&S and the Accountable Manager.
- Ensure timely compliance with governmental circulars, notices, regulations, and policies.
- Maintain security documentation as required for regulatory agencies.
Aviation Security:
- Provide guidance and on the job training to the Ground Operations and Security Team to ensure highest level of Security deliverables.
- Develop and implement Common Company standard in Security level.
- Organize Security-specific training to various Ground Operations teams.
- Update and revise the Security Standard Operating Procedures, aiming for constant risk mitigation in conjunction with Director Ground Operations
- Perform security audits, monitor compliance, and perform risk/threat assessments of security systems in close coordination with the Director of Quality and Safety.
- Present audit findings to senior management.
- Ensure the compliance with governmental regulations and policies.
- Perform other Security related duties as assigned or requested.
Liaison with GACA:
- Maintain The Red Sea Air Services Company’s Security Programme in accordance with GACA regulations.
- Maintain security documentation as required for regulatory agencies such as GACA.
- Liaison with GACA and other governmental agencies for all related Security compliance matters.
Inter-departmental cooperation and external support:
- Assist with the process for Infrastructure and Permits is and as relevant to Aviation Security compliance and clearance as re required.
- Liaison with other government authorities to assist on Company related processes – Customs, Immigration, etc.
- Assist with Quality and Safety related processes as required.
- Liaise with Company GR Team to assist with matters related to governmental processes.
- New destinations support in development of AVSEC requirements in line with the Project related Phases.
