Instructor
Job Purpose
The Freediving Instructor is a site-based position responsible for leading and teaching freediving activities to the highest professional and safety standards. The role supports the Dive Center Manager in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all dive activities within the designated asset.
The Freediving Instructor oversees the day-to-day execution of all freediving programs, including instruction, excursions, and related sales, while maintaining an exceptional level of guest experience and operational safety. In addition, the instructor contributes to the professional presentation of the dive center and supports retail sales within the outlet.
Key Responsibilities
General

Report directly to the Dive Center Manager and assist with the daily operations of the dive center.

Support RSG Dive Operations in developing new (free)dive centers across other assets.

Deliver all courses in compliance with or exceeding PADI standards.

Lead guided freediving excursions for guests.

Collaborate with the Sustainability and RSZA departments to ensure all operations align with environmental protection and marine life conservation standards.

Work on-site and remotely as required.
Pre-Opening Phase
-
Collaborate with the Senior Manager to plan, establish, and operationalize the dive center and its components.

Support cross-departmental efforts during the delivery stage to achieve milestones, initiate operational readiness, and ensure projects are executed as designed.

Gain familiarity with dive sites within operational reach of the asset.
Post-Opening Phase

Uphold and manage the highest standards in freediving instruction and guiding, ensuring safety as the top priority.

Oversee all daily freediving operations to ensure professionalism and adherence to agency standards.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all teaching and diving activities.

Support sales and guest engagement in the retail outlet.

Build and sustain effective working relationships with team members, management, and guests.
Policies, Systems, and Procedures

Follow all functional policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and operational guidelines to maintain consistency and compliance within the dive center.
Safety, Quality, and Environment

Enforce all safety, quality, and environmental management policies to ensure guest and employee safety, compliance with legislation, and responsible environmental practices.
Continuous Improvement

Identify and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement in operations, aligning with international best practices to enhance productivity, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.

External: Guests, Training Agencies (PADI), Equipment Suppliers, Local Authorities
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Experience

Certified PADI Freediving Instructor (minimum 40m depth) or AIDA Freediving Instructor willing to crossover to PADI.

Minimum of 25 certified freediving students.

Active and renewed PADI Instructor status.

Proven experience in hospitality, freediving operations, and safety management.

Demonstrated experience across various freediving environments and geographical locations.

Knowledge of dive equipment management, retail sales, and marine conservation.

Valid Fit to Dive medical certification.

Adherence to professional grooming standards suitable for a luxury resort environment.
Desirable Skills

Additional spoken language (preferably Arabic).

Social media and content creation experience.

PADI Specialty Instructor certification (minimum 5 specialties).

Minimum 500 logged scuba dives and 50 certified students across core courses.

Experience in dive business operations and guest management.
-
Underwater photography and videography proficiency.

Strong marine life identification knowledge (fish, invertebrates, reptiles, mammals).
