offerings, including water sports through Galaxea, adventure activities via Akun, and leisure experiences delivered by WAMA.

Job Purpose

The Dive Center Divemaster is a site-based operational role within the GALAXEA department, responsible for supporting the daily operations of dive centers across The Red Sea and AMAALA destinations. The role leads guided dives, assists in the delivery of PADI courses, and supports the Dive Center Manager in ensuring the safe, efficient, and professional operation of all diving and underwater tourism activities.

The Dive Center Divemaster plays a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high operational standards, preparing dive facilities and equipment, supporting dive-related retail activities, and ensuring all operations are conducted in accordance with PADI standards, company procedures, and safety, quality, environmental, and service excellence requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Dive Center Manager in the daily operation of the assigned dive center.
  • Lead guided dives safely and professionally in accordance with PADI standards and GALAXEA operating procedures.
  • Assist with the delivery of PADI courses, ensuring high-quality instruction and guest support.
  • Prepare dive boats, equipment, guest areas, and teaching environments to ensure operational readiness.
  • Conduct professional guest briefings and debriefings before and after diving activities.
  • Ensure all diving activities are delivered safely, consistently, and in line with company service standards.
  • Inspect, prepare, clean, and maintain diving equipment, cylinders, and related assets to ensure operational readiness.
  • Assist with cylinder filling, equipment management, dive center housekeeping, and facility presentation.
  • Support retail operations by promoting dive products, courses, and underwater experiences to guests.
  • Build positive relationships with guests, colleagues, hotel operators, and other stakeholders to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Collaborate with Sustainability, SEZ, and relevant departments to ensure compliance with environmental and marine conservation requirements.
  • Maintain accurate dive logs, guest records, certification documentation, equipment records, and operational reports.
  • Comply with all GALAXEA, RSG, destination-specific policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Apply safety, quality, and environmental management practices to protect guests, employees, marine environments, and company assets.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, safety, and service delivery.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Dive Center Manager.

Job Requirements

Skills & Experience

  • Current and renewed PADI Divemaster certification.
  • Minimum of 250 logged dives across a variety of diving environments.
  • Good knowledge of PADI standards, courses, documentation, and operational procedures.
  • Experience working in a commercial dive centre or resort environment.
  • Strong understanding of dive safety, emergency procedures, and operational risk management.
  • Practical experience in dive equipment preparation, inspection, and basic maintenance.
  • Experience supporting guided dives and PADI training programmes.
  • Knowledge of marine conservation and responsible diving practices.
  • Valid Fit to Dive Medical Certificate.
  • Hospitality or guest service experience is preferred.
