Job Purpose:

  • We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Finance Director to lead our finance department at Amrak Facilities Management Company, an in-house Facilities Management (FM) company.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of financial management, be familiar with the Facilities Management Sector and have extensive knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and hold membership in a relevant professional body (such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA).

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the activities of the Facility Management team to ensure that all work is carried out efficiently, in line with the strategic project management plans, policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a role model to ensure employees’ awareness and commitment to Amrak vision, mission, values, fundamentals and corporate strategy to establish a highly engaged and motivated human resources, and continuously improve performance
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, monitoring actual performance against budget, and providing detailed analysis and recommendations for improvements.
  • Analyzing and creation of financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting practices.
  • Identifying potential cash flow problems and financial irregularities.
  • Liaising with department heads to ensure that each department remains within budget.
  • Accurately preparing tax returns and ensuring that company taxes are paid in a timely manner.
  • Supervising and providing overall guidance to account clerks as well as junior accounting staff.
  • Providing regular updates to management regarding company finances
  • Ensuring that the company maintains compliance with accounting legislation.
  • Setup/Build and develop Accounting Operation Team & supervise them.
  • Reporting:
    • Withholding Tax and VAT Return Filing and prepare Financial Report and monthly closing.
  • Financial Strategy:
    • Develop and implement the company’s financial strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals and growth objectives.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS standards. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial performance to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Cash Flow Management:
    • Manage the company’s cash flow, ensuring the business has sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs and strategic initiatives.
  • Internal Controls & Compliance:
    • Establish and maintain strong internal controls, ensuring compliance with all financial regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the company’s financial stability.
  • Financial Systems:
    • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and software to ensure accurate and efficient financial processes.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. Ensure the team is equipped with the skills and resources necessary to succeed.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Liaise with internal and external auditors, tax advisors, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth audits and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Business Case Support:
    • Lead or support special financial projects as needed, such as acquisitions, cost/ value or financial modeling.

 

Qualification/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance or similar.
  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in Management Accounting related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Hold membership in a relevant professional body (such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA).

 

Skills:

  • Deep understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems; experience with ERP systems is a plus
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
