Job Purpose:

  • The Receptionist / Retail Sales Associate is a dual-role frontline team member who provides exceptional service at the yacht club’s reception and boutique retail outlet.
  • This position serves as the first point of contact for members and guests, ensuring smooth check-ins and inquiries, while also assisting with the sale of exclusive club merchandise, apparel, and lifestyle products.
  • The ideal candidate will embody luxury hospitality standards, combining administrative precision with a passion for service and retail excellence.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Reception Duties

• Welcome members and guests with professionalism and warmth, ensuring an excellent first impression.

• Manage front desk operations including check-ins, guest registration, appointment scheduling, and

phone/email handling.

• Provide accurate information about club services, amenities, marina logistics, and events.

• Maintain lobby and reception area cleanliness and presentation.

• Support concierge-related functions and liaise with relevant departments for guest requests.

 

Retail Sales Duties

• Assist customers with purchases of club-branded apparel, accessories, and lifestyle goods.

• Maintain product knowledge to upsell and cross-sell merchandise effectively.

• Operate POS systems and handle transactions accurately and securely.

• Maintain boutique cleanliness, inventory organization, and visual merchandising standards.

• Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory counts, and restocking as required.

• Support the planning and promotion of retail activations, sales campaigns, and product launches.

 

Safety, Quality & Environment

• Apply safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure employee

safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental

attitude.

 

Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of department’s systems,

processes and practices considering ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost

reduction and productivity improvement.

 

Job Requirements:

Qualification and Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Retail Management, or related field preferred.
  • 2–4 years of experience in front office, guest services, or luxury retail environments.
  • Experience with POS systems and guest-facing platforms.

Skills

  • Excellent customer service and multitasking skills.
  • Salesmanship and product knowledge.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with high grooming and presentation standards.
  • Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.

  • The role of the Front of House director is to work closely with the GM on the pre-opening and ongoing daily and annual finance operations of the Amaala Yacht Club & Marina at Amaala Triple Bay.
