Associate Project Director

Job Purpose

We are looking for an experienced Associate Director  to join our team in Saudi Arabia to work on our Red Sea Airport Project. You will be joining a team of like-minded professionals, ensuring project is managed to the right standards and is completed efficiently and on time.

Job Responsibilities - Functional

The successful candidate will lead/support Project Delivery, taking responsibility for successful delivery.

  • Provide effective support to Project Director, and guide and assist the project delivery teams.
  • Ensure project is managed to the right standards and are completed efficiently and on time. Delivering excellent quality of finishes with an eye to detail.
  • Develop strong relationships with Contractors and members of the cross-functional team.
  • Ensure all staff members reporting to you have current and relevant information.
  • Manage the delivery of Project Management team outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales HSE and quality standards.
  • Co-ordination and sign off on all management information produced by Project Management teams prior to issue.
  • Management of project construction documents and keeping self and the team updated with the latest revisions of the construction specifications and drawings.
  • Keeping the team updated on their tasks, priorities, ensuring the team stays on the same page and achieves more.

TRSDC Board, TRSDC Program Team & TRSDC Project Team.

Job Stakeholders - External

Contractors, Consultants, Regulators, Investors, Suppliers and End Users.

Job Requirements - Qualification & Experience

  • Professional Qualified – ideally Project Management / Construction / Engineering / Quantity Surveying Degree
  • Working understanding of contracts.
  • Coordinate and direct Contractors. Monitor materials and equipment and track inventory, Review the work progress on daily basis. Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status, plan to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones, obtain permits and licenses.
  • Understanding of contracts and able to effectively mitigate related risks, understands claim avoidance and when necessary, claim handling from Construction point of view. Meet contractual conditions of performance.
  • Manages quality, time, costs, and provision of information
  • Full responsibility for reporting and escalating nonconformities to PD and CD.
  • Responsible for the site safety by participating in creating, implementing, and securing the site safety plan.
  • Responsible to ensure the Contractors are following the site safety plan in all HSE related activities on site
